Having a regular mindfulness practice like meta awareness has many benefits including, but not limited to:

- stress reduction

- nervous system regulation

- improved immune health

- improved quality of sleep

- expanding the window of tolerance in the brain where we store unhealed trauma

- noticing and rerouting negative self talk patterns

How you focus your attention activates your brain in different ways. Having a regular meditation or meta awareness practice can change the structure of the brain over time. When we can be consistent in practices that rewire brain patterns and attend to the regulation of our nervous system, coming back to theses states again and again, it can eventually become an embodied trait.

By holding and relaxing into deep, passive stretches for extended periods of time, Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues in the body, promoting relaxation and enhancing flexibility. This slow-paced practice also encourages a meta awareness or meditative state, allowing you to calm your mind and release tension

We will begin our practice with a short background on the anatomy of the brain as it pertains to meta awareness and yin yoga. We will practice a meta awareness meditation in a calming candlelit studio to settle the body and mind and then dive into a  tranquil yin yoga practice.

long slow deep.jpg

This is a special member event and is specifically for our unlimited members. Please only register for this offering if you are a Hippie Soul unlimited member. Non-member registrants will be removed from the roster.

Long, Slow, & Deep (LSD) is a uniquely powerful yoga practice that challenges participants in a different way. While it may seem paradoxical, this class is one of the most demanding, yet students spend much of the time seated or lying down.

The focus of LSD is not on building strength or generating heat, but rather on exploring the profound effects of holding poses for extended periods. This allows for deeper release in key areas such as the hamstrings, groin, hips, and shoulders. The practice encourages a deeper connection with the body, fostering patience and mental resilience.

Participants may find the mental aspect of this practice to be the most challenging, especially at the beginning. It’s natural to feel the urge to step away, but the key is to stay present, breathe deeply, and allow the experience to unfold. The class is designed to create a warm, dimly lit environment, promoting a sense of calm and introspection.

By the end of the session, students often discover a profound sense of release and well-being, highlighting the transformative potential of this gentle yet intense practice.

Solemn Stillness 2024.jpg

Winter solstice marks the longest duration of darkness during our year. Solstice literally translates to "sun standing still." This practice honors the apparent stillness of the sun and the opportunity to create a sacred pause in our lives to create intention for the winter season.

This practice is purely restorative in nature and will comprise of restful pose after pose to support deep rest. The entire experience will be poetically woven together with guided meditation to support ease and release, culminating in a yoga nidra in which you will have opportunity privately set your own sankulpa (intention) for the winter ahead.

This practice is appropriate for all levels of practitioners to include beginners. There will be very little movement as this practice is Restorative. Recommended items to bring include a yoga mat and blanket. Due to heavy use of props, space is limited.

Date: Saturday, December 21st

Time: 6:30 - 7:45 pm

Location: Hippie Soul Yoga Studio

Address: 7647 McLaughlin Road, Falcon, CO

Investment: $25 through December 6th, $30 thereafter

Yoga for Beginners-2.jpg

Join Tracey for a four-week series designed for beginners.

In the four sessions of this series, you can expect to learn the basic alignment of the most common poses in a vinyasa yoga class. You will also learn any modifications that might help the pose be more accessible for your body in the use of yoga props.

Each practice will function more as a workshop than a typical yoga class, and as such, you can feel free to ask questions in a warm and welcoming environment.

The goal is for you to finish this workshop feeling confident enough to join a yoga class with enough knowledge to keep your body safe and comfortable.

Dates: Sundays, January 5, 12, 19, 26, 2025
Times: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
